In 2020, MenCare Georgia collaborated with 10 Georgian illustrators to create illustrations showing father-child relationship. The illustrations were published on the Campaign’s Facebook Page and later were painted as murals on walls around the country.

The wall, located at Guramishvili #80 in the capital Tbilisi features Sopho Kirtadze’s illustration that was adapted for the wall by the Niko Movement. The illustration features a father, children and a dog walking in the park. Painting emphasizes how important the involvement of men as caring fathers, spouses and partners in child-care and household affairs is for the well-being of women, children, families and society and the country in general, and for achieving true gender equality.

The project was implemented with the support of UNFPA Georgria, within the framework of the UN Joint Progrramme for Gender Equality, with the financial support of the Swedish Government.

The building located at Davit Aghmashenebeli #53 in Kutaisi features an illustration by Sopho Kirtadze. The wall was painted by artist Lia Ukleba. The illustration shows a father and children reading a book.

The project was implemented in the framework of the “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence” programme, funded by the European Union, implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA.

In Akhaltsikhe, the wall of the Samtskhe-Javakheti State University features an illustration by Sonia Eliashvili. The wall was painted by Lia Ukleba. The illustration shows a rock-climbing father and sons trying to overcome obstacles together.

The illustration was created within the framework of the UN Joint Programme for Gender Equality, which is implemented with the financial support of the Swedish government, and the wall was painted within the framework of the “Addressing Gender-Biased Sex Selection and Related Harmful Practices in the South Caucasus” programme, funded by the European Union, implemented by UNFPA.

Commercial building located at Gabriel Episkoposi #1 in Ozurgeti features an illustration by Tatia Nadareishvili. The wall was painted by Lia Ukleba. The illustration shows a father and son at work in the kitchen as they prepare dinner together, cheerfully and happily.

The illustration was created within the framework of the UN Joint Programme for Gender Equality, which is implemented with the financial support of the Swedish government, and the wall was painted within the framework of the “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence” programme, funded by the European Union, implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA.
